The color is more of a purple leaning towards blue hues and is a beautiful color! The Berber nap is about 1/4 inch long and is loosly woven making this coat and nice coat for 40 to 60 degree weather. The coat can always be warmed up a bit on those cold snap days with "Angie's Secret Under-Vest."

The fabric may seem a little stiff at fist as it has a lot of "stay" in it, but once washed it becomes very soft and pliable.

For best results, and a longer lasting coat, as with your own apparel, machine was in cold on gentle and dry on low, or air only.
